FC Skelator Report
First game of the season against the toughest opponent,
They came to play and boy did they! The experience and fitness was apparent from the start as you would expect from a team who had played together for a couple of seasons.
The defence of Paul, Adam and Ed were given a tough ride from the start and were powerless to get near the first few goals the team tightened as the game went on the mood darkened. Ben. F was sent tumbling to the ground early and tempers rose as the opposition took the match very seriously and were not impressed when we started to loose interest and mess around a it as well as winding up the ref courtesy of Neil. (7ft ref indeed).
The high points were Neil score a wonderful placed shot in the top corner and the emergence of Bob as a cat like keeper with the scars to prove it else where the positioning was a little out but that was down to the manger (sorry) who was playing people out of position and realised it while it was too late…. There were glimmers of the class to come with Weasel and the Ben’s both H and F holding there own and stringing together move and passes which worried the opposition and boosted the overall team confidence.
Special praise should go to Adam who with tireless and dogged determination stuck to his man and followed back to intercept time after time…. He will have felt that in the morning.
Diggler’s Hold your head up high you did each other proud and the only way is up!
