Right Kick off is at 7.35 so Its our favourite slot.
I'm not sure who we have got the week as people seem to be dropping like flys. I know there is no Bob or Weasel as they're at the uni for a piss up. Ben. H I'm not sure if he's in the country yet and Neil is working nights. So we shall make do with who w've got.
GK - Josh
DF - Adam
DF - Paul
MF - Ben, F
MF - John
CF - James
The only Change would be Ben.H replacing me or Adam (probably me) at the back.
Any questions gimmie a shout.

Real Diggler Vs Winnal FC
Afternoon Gents.
Bit of a scratch team this week. We have to return of the Bob which is great news though he will be on pitch rather than in goal so as not to hurt his arm again.
I'm still waiting for confermation on Jame's mate Josh though we have been in contact via the text. This is the line up as it stands at the mo.
GK - Josh
DF - Ben. F (We need your solid ladership at the back, as the 6-0 thrashing proved last week)
DF - Adam (Our Defensive terrier, nuff said)
MF - John
MF - Bob
MF - Paul
(I'm going for somthing different as we have no strikers with James and Neil away. I'm looking at a more defensive formation to try and stop a thrashing, Joh I know will defend and plug gaps, I know that I am rubbish at defending to be fair I'm rubbish at attacking so I shall be somewhere inbetween, Bob is un tested with the Digglers so we shall see though i'm hoping for Crouch like brilliance or at least the Robot.)
We all know what we're doing and how we play lets keep our heads up and keep talking and we should not have a 6-0 thrashing this time as my leg is hopefully back together now.
C'mon you Digglers!!!

Real Diggler Vs Connect
Mornig Gents.
This week we're against mid table COnnect FC who are also Chad's team though he hasn't been at work for a week so I don't know if he'll be playing and to be fair we're far to good for him anyway. This week we have a bit of a problem fielding a full team. Ben. H is in Thailand and has just had a baby girl Jessica Magret Harris, who is very cute (I have to assume she gets that from her Mother) so congratualtions to him and his lady from the Digglers. Bob and Weasel are out this week, Bob with his bad arm and I'm not sure about Weaseal surfice to say the sooner they're back the better. Neil is Working and I have a feeling so is Chris. So thats leaves us possibly one short. If anybody has any friends or relatives who fancy a game please let me know.
This is the team.
GK - Josh
DF - Adam
DF - Paul
MF - Ben. F
MF - John
CF - James
We all know our roles by now but the big change is that I am releasing Floyd from some of his defencive duties as he is our top scorer. John could you keep an eye on the defence of me and Adam while linking up the play. otherwise no change go out there and enjoy Digglers.
Oh yeah Ben was right we kick off at 7.35 so there around 7.15 - 20 ish please.

Team Info for Artmediabratilava (???)
Righ then guys congratualations on getting our first point last week it really should have been three points to us their goal was a bit dubious, but we live and learn. Well done ben for opening your account with the only goal of our season, I'm looking at James, Chris and Neil to follow suit soon with goals set up, obivously by amazing passes from John, Adam and myself. Ahem.
We can't rest on our laurrels though, we may be playing the bottom team but the old saying that an animal is at its most dangerous when cornered is very apt here. We cannot go to sleep because we haven't got this in the bag yet. Last week we were the better team and were very unlucky not to get more from the game though I think it has done the team the world of good after a shaky start we've had the proff that we are a good team and that we can play.
The plan this week is exactly the same as last week, tight and simple. We had some beatiful passing going on last week and were unlucky not to score more. So heres the team.
GK - Josh
DF - Ben. F
DF - Paul
MF - James
MF - John
CF - Neil (Jelly Fish)
Subs - Adam, Chris
Josh - Calm and measured passingagain please, you were very steady at the back don't be afraid to order us around you can see beeter than anyone else in the team use that we won't be offended.
Paul/Adam - Last man back, last man forward, go towards the attacker try and force them out wide and tackle them giving the rest of the team the opotunity to get back in time. Simple easy passing to get the ball rolling. don't move too far up the pitch during attacks.
Ben. F/Adam - Furthest defender forward, when attacking go through the middle the MF's will go either side of you. Defending whatch the runners, cover the last man back by cutting off the other attackers, we did it well last week so I know you can do it this week.
John/Chris - Little bit more of a defensive role compared to James, John I noticed you do this anyway, when Floyd goes forward make sure the last man back is not starnded with too many people to mark. Forward in the attacks on the oposite side to James either left or right. John you had a cracking game last week so your confidence will be sky high I expect another solid performnace. Chris if you play take up position on the left, you got a sweet left foot espescially when passing from the left. Both of you don't be afraid to shoot! wahts the worse that can happen eh?
James/Chris - Same as last week get into the oposition and shoot shoot shoot. you attack and defend like you life depends on it, I like that same again please.
Neil - The jellyfish is back, we had a noticable increase in shots on goal, long may that continue. you did brilliantly at holding the ball up for the MF' to stream past so contiue with that.
To be fir the subs arn't set in stone and we'll see what happens. I will again leave it up to the individuals to decide when they need a rest because it seemed to work well last week.
Any problems drop me a line or email.
C'mon your beatiful Digglers!!!!

Stevie Wanderers match tactics
Evening Gents.
Right the team we are playing 2moro are the team above us. They are only above us on goal difference (that is we have conceeded one more than them).
Gents this is our game, we have a point to prove over the past 3 games we haven't deserved the treatment we have got, last week we didn't cover ourselves in glory. There was some tension which I hope is now water under the bridge.
This is the plan for 2moro.
GK - 'Jedi' John
DF - Ben. F
DF - Paul
MF - John
MF - James
CF - Neil
Chris will be used as a super sub either coming on for me or in the middle. I will leave it up to the individual as to when or if they want to be subbed, but I would rather you come off for a few mins and catch your breath rather then make silly mistakes or rushed passes.
The plan this week is "Keep it Simple". Simple passes let the ball do the work we need to conserve our energy.
I'm going to be the furthest man back probably not join in too many attacks. Ben when we attack you go up through the middle and let John and James stay either side, Not on the wings more of a 3 through the middle just be warned you'll need to bust a gut to get back during your goal celebration!!
James and John I afraid you'll be running a lot supporting Neil up front and Ben and Myself in defense. Try not to storm out to the wings because there isn't the support, play it how you see it but I want a direct approach this week, Simple.
Neil I want you to play just above the midfield if you can hold up the ball let James and John (you'll meet him) go past you, we need the Jelly fish.
Chris you'll either be at the back instead of me or in the middle.
EVERYBODY DEFENDS!!! you get a man you stick to him, anybody see's somone not marking or loosing the man let them know lets talk to each other, whatch the runners you see them going shout them out.
There is no reason why we can't get a result from this one WE ARE A CRACKING TEAM on our day (we be FC Select and RTS Europe through team work and didcipline this is our game we deserve it)
Come on you digglers.

25/03/09 Real Diggler V Cuban Allstars 8.50pm
Team Info
Alright then guys we have no Bob or Weasel this week plus Chris is unable to join us through work.
This week is our first game in the new league and so we need to hit the ground running. I have no idea what Cuban All-stars are like because Chad doesn’t know them. I think we should play for points this week, we have shown that we can close down teams and frustrate them as we did in our last game against FC Select which was a tremendous performance, so I propose we aim to do the same. Score early and close them down.
I don’t know whether Ib will be there or not so I’m not including him in the starting line up.
GK – TBC
DF- Ben. H
DF- Ben. F
CMF – John
CMF – Adam
CF - James
I know this is very defensive and I know that Floyd may feel frustrated by being in defence but he is strong there. I propose that we start with this line up and see how the first half goes, if need be he can swap with Adam. There’s no reason why we can’t be more fluid so if people do push up make sure that someone has covered you or you’re able to get back in time, just talk to each other. If Ib is there then we may swap him with one of the CMF’s but we shall go on popular opinion.
John and Adam will there for be urged to get up and support James.
I’m in the process of finding a keeper, Steve may step in or Adam’s Bro may up for it.
We kick off at 8.50 so try and be there around half past so we can sort out money. As far as I know its back in black for this game but could we bring the money for Harris on Wednesday £10 we should have the shirts for next week.
Any problems give me a shout.

The Kit Choices for Next Season

Heya Gents.
Because we have acquired more players and lost other we have a situation with having the same shirts. Ben can't get hold of any more black Valencia ones, so I propose a change of shirts. Through extensive arsing around on the net and a list of kits Ben has supplied us with me an Adam have whittled them down to 6 we tried to picks kits with colours that no one else would have so we wouldn’t need stupid bibs.
Ben could pass on the Website to John please and the same with Bob to Ib if he’s playing for us.

Bob I'm not sure whats going on about the Goalie Shirt unless your desperate to change it's up to you. I haven't heard from Harris about prices so bare with me on that front.
So your Challenge is to vote which one you would most like. The one with the most votes wins. Enjoy.

The End is Near
Well Gents it's nearly that time the time to say goodbye to the glorious Super League 1 with only one game left against FC Select.
Let us remember the good times, our wins both the real one where we had our best performance as a team and our free one where the other team were terrified of us so much so they wouldn't turn up.
Other good times were our brush with the angry mammal that is Mr Whaley who's crushing tackles and beautiful singing voice has brought joy to us all.... our phycial battles with Adam being the midfield terrier, no one has played harder than he. Ben. H for throwing the oposition to the ground in tangles of legs and in the pursuit of the ultimate defender, with a cracking left foot. James and bringing a bit of class to our outfit I thank you for making look respectable by providing tricks, pace and goals. Weasel is the engine room of the team linking together the others and helping both attack and defence by running twice as much as anyone else. Bob has grown (if that is possible) into a very confidant and brilliant keeper long may that continue. Chris W has provided a constant thorn in the left hand side of our oponents and was richly rewarded with a derseved goal, plus his hair makes him look like he's running faster. I do get the feeling when playing with Ben. F that we've got a continental midfielder he's a man who wears his heart on his sleeve and plays as hard as he can somtimes his emotions bubble out and theres a chance of a rumble (lucky Bob and Ben. H are imposing) but thats part of the fun, plus he has a very tight shirt to show of he's muscles.
A big thanks to the extras who have helped us, Toby,John,Steve,Bro Whincup,Bob's Mates including Ib cheers to you all I sorry if I've forgotten any one.
Lets hope next season is just as fun maybe with a few more wins.
Cheers guys its been a pleasure.

Six in the City 5 - 1 Real Diggler
The Week after our first win our spirits were high. Sadly the result didn’t do justice to the effort and performance that the team put in.
We were missing two key players in our Goal keeping Goliath of Bob and the engine room that is Weasel (though I’m informed that they were out boozing it up! Well at least they’re following in the footsteps of professionals). We had the hired talents of James friend Toby up front who got our goal played very well so cheers for that Toby.
In the first half we had the majority of the possession and kept the pressure on the opposition bad sadly we couldn’t capitalise on it. Time after time our attack faulted and broke on the defence. On the plus side they were having similar problems against our defence with the Ben combo mopping up and redistributing most of the attacks. Unluckily we went a goal down early on though special mention should go to our stand in goalkeeper Mr Adam Whincup who put in a magnificent effort in goal and was rewarded with some super saves; he got better as his confidence grew. We did however miss his tenacious tackling in midfield.
Our forwards of James and Toby stuck to the game plan and got behind the oppositions defence time and time again forcing the opposing keeper in some brilliant save before Toby got our goal. There was some great interplay and Brazilian style passing between our front men and Chris who tirelessly patrolled the left flank breaking down the wing to create chances and support the front two.
Ben. H had another solid game being big, strong and rock like in the centre of defence. The main positive this week was his calmness on the ball which gave him time to pick his pass. Ben. F started in defence and then pushed up in the second half leaving the subs to fill in the defence gaps.
We were unlucky not to get a better result especially in front of our biggest crowd, 4 people!! The main problem was a lack of cohesion within the team the passes weren’t sticking and some of the decision making wasn’t great, this was throughout the team. It could have been because of tiredness or just that our confidence after last week had grown but we didn’t play as well as we did last week. There were some stand our performances such as James tracking back the length of the pitch to make an outstanding last ditch tackle to deny the opposition a shot on goal! Also, as I have already mention Mr Harris’s calm defending; finally Adam’s shouting was an aural delight.
One of the downsides was decision making last night. We seemed to play as a group of individuals rather than a team, on numerous people chose to take a man when an easier pass would have allowed them to get past their marker before receiving the ball back in the fashion of the old 1 2. But there you go, if we make the ball do the work then we don’t have to, of course I’m aware that we have only played as a team for a few months and it may take time but we need to be aware of our options. There was plenty of good movement through the team and people were getting into wonderful positions sadly we weren’t always using them which I think everyone got frustrated about and because of this the noise level (apart from Adam) dropped people weren’t speaking to each other or if they were people didn’t hear them, more chatter guys lets help each other out.
A note to Bob, Adam commented on how difficult it is to see people when performing a goal kick of throwing the ball out. Could we please have someone who comes short? Maybe something to think about.

Our First ever Win!!! Real Diggler 2 - 1 RTS Europe
I thought I should at leastmake a note of our first proper win. On a cold crappy night with sideways rain we came out on top. As a team it was one of the most cohesive performances we have had. We were strong at the back with support running through the team with everyone doing there bit to defend.
We were under the cosh to start with and it seemed we were goimg to have a rough night with wave after wave of attack coming at us. Bob's decision to shoo me and Chris away so that we didn't disract him was a good call, fully concentrating Bob is a top keeper making plenty of key stops and denying the oposision (?). Slowly we worked our way back into the game with Weasel and James tearing apart the other teams slower defence Before Ben. H struck a screamer which the keeper had no chance. Ater that we began to play with some swagger moving the ball around niceley and keep the pressure on untill half time.
I must say that the Ben combo at the back is proving to be the bed rock of our team and providing the solid defense allowing us to go forward with confidence. I have to say thank you to Ben. H for porviding cover when I personally went forward because I haven't got the pace to get back, I know that Ben. h will close down the the man on the ball and I can run past and try and pick up the runner. There were moments when we as a team should have been tighter on the men we were marking but then we were getting tired. Floyd pushes up in support of the front to giving us a 2-2-1 formation when going forward while sloting back into the defence when defending making him a floater.
In the Second half the roll on roll tinity of Adam (the Father) Chris (The Son, he looks like Jesus) and Paul (Holly Toast) seemed to work well allowing us to bust our guts for the amount of time we were on the pitch then hand over just as the red spots and pins and needles set in and before I threw up pass the batton. All three of us stuck to our tasks which are made easier by having the Ben combo behind us allowing Adam to get stuck in and even have shot on goal! Chris was able to push up in support on the front two with insisive passing across the goal. I was able to run up and down the side of the pitch shouting and waving my arms.
In the Second half we conceded a goal through a lack of concentration. But we picked ourselfs up and got stuck in. We were reward with a Goal from James who broke his duck last week with a brace and has continued on his run with 3 goals in 2 games!! keep it up dude!
The main thrust of the piece is we won, yes it was scrappy in places and we got a bit of Luck but otherwise a good solid performance from everyone. lets keep it up and try to encourage each other no matter what mistakes we make because we're all human and this is a laugh, besides we're not Mr Whale!!
Fo Shizzle.

Tomorrow we kick off at 7. So can everyone be there by quarter to? Same team as last week. It was working.
Sorry this is only short but not got much time. See you there tomorrow

Accutek vs Real Diggler
Ok guys, hope everyone had a good christmas and is all rested up. My cuts have all healed which is a good thing.
We had some great performances before the break and need to build on it.
The team will be
Bob
Ben F Ben H
Adam
James Weasel
While we have lost our main striker in Neil we have a good front pairing full of pace to worry the defence.
Adam keep doing what you did in the last game and just battle hard. Ben and Ben carry on from where you were last time. Making the strong tackles but also getting forward as often as possible but looking out for each other so we arent caught short.
Paul, Ed and Chris will be there to cover when people get tired. Ed and Chris look to replace any of the back 3 when they need it and Paul be looking to take over from James or Weasel to give them a rest.
Kick off is at 8:50 so aim to be there for 8:30.
