Game 7 - Royal with Cheese

Right guys, this is a huge game for us. We need to start to close the gap otherwise we are going to be too far adrift.
I had a great game plan all worked out and then Weasel messed it all up by having a basketball game. Typical.

Anyway the team will be
GK - Bob
DF - Adam, Ed,
James and Ben H floating
Chris up front on his own. Just to try something different.

James and Ben both getting forward as much as possible to support chris because having Ed and Adam at the back means we can push on more with a front 3.
If this isnt working then bring Neil on when legs start to tire to really get at them.
No real defensive duties for any of the front 3. Just work the ball between the 3 of you and play it patient until there is an opening.
Ed and Adam, work out the danger men and pick one each. Stick to them constantly. Limit the chances. I will clear up anything that comes through past you. Ill be coming out more with the ball rather than waiting for space to open. This gives us an extra man so we have to take advantage of this.
Kick off is at 7 so aim to be there for twenty to so we can have a warm up.
Im confident about this one boys. We can win this. Just got to play the sensible ball and move for each other. I'll be barking orders from the back just because I get a clearer view from there.

I'll see you all on Wednesday then.

Provisonal Line up Real Diggler V FC Select

Morning Gents.

Thank You to Adam who replied to the challenge of discussing the tactics, as no one else said anything I shall try to pick a decent statergy for Wednesday though I am open to discussion.

Last week we played very well the defending was top notch for the majority of the game (apart from the funny few mins) as such i'm going to stick with the same formation with the ide of stifling the oposition and frustrating them into making silly mistakes, lets make the league leaders work for what they assume will be an easy victory..... while we aim to get them on the bounce!

As such this is my proposed line up.

GK - Bob

DF - Adam

RCM - Ben. F LCM - Ben. H

AMF - James

CF - Niel

Bob and Adam more of the same from you guys please tough tackling from Adam and accurate distribution from Bob. Bob you are in charge of the defence that includes Adam and the 2 Ben's, guys listen to Bob he has a clearer view of what going on.

Ben and Ben.

Harris you need to play more like you did last week tracking back and launching attacks, I don't think that we have a harder tackler in the squad. stay to your sides of the pitch guys Harris on the Left and Floyd on the Right I know there is a temptation to follow the ball but we need to keep our shape against this oposition. Help each other out and call for it. Floyd I know you have a liking for going forward bearing in mind you are our top scorer I want to indulge that but don't go too far if Harris is up and you not prepared to bust a gut getting back!!

James. I feell you deserve a start after weeks of being a sub and coming on to run the legs off the oponents it's time you turned you indusriousness into goals and assists. Ply in front of the midfield and behind the striker. I don't mind which side you on left or righ and I don't mind you switching keep the defence on their toes and I think its time you got a goal! Try to pass instead of beating the man unless that is your only option then use your judgment.

Neil. I'm sorry but last week I wasted you in the Rooney position your should be leading the line and as such I am restoring you to CF use you pace and look for James in support. You have uncanny nack of getting the imposible shot off from incredible angles. Try hitting it first time don't think just whack!

Subs.

Ed - More of the same, Last week was a confidant performance lets see more of that.
Kier - I will use you in defence, though Ed is ahead of you at the mo. If need be i Will push you forward in the Centre midfield.
Chris - Last weeks goal scorer! I wanted you in from the start but you are better coming off the bench when the oposition are tired and your legs are freash, You'll be Harris's replacement and look to break away like you did last week.
Weasel - This is mostly so you don''t collapse halfway through the game, see how you feel and we'll play it by ear exspect to get some game time in your usual postion.
Paul - I'll plug gaps.

Good luck gents you know yor roles, any questions please let me know. we're getting better week in week out so lets have some fun with this game.

Provisional Line up 12.11.08 Real Diggler Vs Six in the City (8.50pm)

This is a MUST WIN game I really mean it this time ignore that they beat skelator that is irrelavent. We are a better team with quality through out we have a solid back line of Bob, Adam, Kier and Ed who can deal with most things the Mid Field mixes creativity (James and Ben. H) With solid end to end workhorses (Chris, Ben. F and Weasel) while the Striker of Neil is a wonder of nature with the pose of a jelly fish and the lashing strike and speed of Rooney at an all you can eat Asda buffet!!

This Week we NEED to all defend and get back when we're under the cosh and not Leave Bob and Adam to deal with it (unless we being Dicked then we attack and pin them back!!), saying that I am putting together a different formation to try and combat tired legs. lets hope it works!!

Gk - Bob

DF - Adam

CMF - Weasel CMF - Ben. H

SS - Neil

CF - Ben. F

I want Adam and Bob to do what they do best. Bob big and strong I want you to organise the defence you are in charge of Adam and the 2 in front. Adam the opsition Striker is yours I don't mind how you deal with them just stop them don't worry about those following up Weasel and Ben. H will deal with them because they have the legs to chase the play up and down and join in the attacks.
But guys don't both bomb forward try and time it so that one is in front of the other covering I dont wnat a Lampard and Gerrard problem, though whatching Weasel he likes to come from deep more so hopefully we won't have a problem.
Neil is going to play in the second striker role or Rooney role with Ben. F playing Heskey like role holding up the ball while Neil goes past, guys look for the easy 1 2 passes and make space for each other Ben. F you need to be strong and hold people off you though if you do wanna go down by the penelty area that would be great.

Subs wise Kier I am going to put in Adams defensive position same with Ed though I will put him further up and go 2 in defence and only one in CMF.
Chris I want you to be ready to play either CMF on the Left where Ben. H is playing or in the hole where Neil is.
James I want you to float like you did last week because that was really sucssefull though playing in the hole same as Neil.
Me I shall go up front and pull the defenders this way and that while trying to hold the ball up.

I know this is a lot to remeber though I know that you can play the positions i have put you in and play them well I have belief in you and feel this week our luck is going to change! There is no reason why we canoth get an momentous victory on Wednesday.

Please let me know if you can or can't make it so I can make any amends to the line up.

COME ON YOU DIGGLERS!!!!!! GO BALLS DEEP!!!

Guys this is a must win game the oposition havent scored a goal and were thrashed by skelator! 8 - 0. So if we get at the early and get a couple of goals then roll them over we should go good. we are a better team than this lot so lets take the game to them!
